BOLINUS BRANDARIS

Eight years in the making, BOLINUS BRANDARIS is flamenco as it’s learned and lived in Spain’s deep south. Recorded live in the bars, restaurants, social clubs and private homes in and around the small island city of San Fernando, this CD and book were designed to be a full-on flamenco experience. The full color 97-page book gives you history, context and culture. The images (provided by professional local photographers) give you the sights. Of course, the CD (or download) gives you the sound.

What about the smells and tastes? That’s available too! In collaboration with our label partner, Dust-to-Digital, and Despaña Brands Fine Foods, the very same regional food and wine products that were consumed (in great quantity) while recording the album are available to enhance your listening experience at home. Invite a few friends over, set up your tapas, pour out the manzanilla sherry (subject to shipping restrictions), cue up the CD, flip through the book, then close your eyes and you’ll be as close to the Bay of Cadiz (often referred to as the “cradle of flamenco”) as is possible without booking a flight, renting a car and grilling sardines.
