We're passionate about recording music where it's made, and we're especially passionate about indigenous languages. We've spent a lot of time recording deep in the Amazon and hope to go back soon. Eventually, we'll release a compilation of our favorite music recorded in the field. So far, we've got songs in Amazon Quechua, Machiguenga, Asháninka, Ashéninka, Yine and Shipibo, which is actually a miniscule sampling of the Amazon's rich indigenous language repository. We also love the non-indigenous Amazon music traditions and have recorded plenty fiddle lamentations, bombo baile (raucous fife and drum music), cumbia and even someone who plays a leaf!
